SPHINX valve
Project: To limit excess pressure and depression and ensure non-flame propagation in the event of a fire, via the provision of a small Sphinx valve (1500 m3/h) for the HI 105 cell within the DIADEM building, located on the Marcoule site
Aims and characteristics:
- To carry out the project while respecting a specific timeline for welding, and positioning internal parts in correlation with the cut-off pressure, developed via feedback given during development, in collaboration with the CEA
- To respect the overall project budget (€50 k) and lead times (5 months)
- To assign a project engineer to ensure monitoring and documentation; a storekeeper/picker; a designer; a research office manager; a technical and production engineering manager; a qualified sheet metal worker; a qualified welder; a workshop manager; and a qualified fitter
