MEDEA model modification

Project: To produce and/or modify different lines allowing for the MEDEA2 experimental model, representing the upper part of a fuel assembly within its storage cell, to be developed from its current « cold CCFL » configuration to the « hot CCFL » configuration

Aims and characteristics:

  • To consider the specifics requirements of the project under PED
  • To integrate the new configuration into the client facilities’ existing model
  • To assign a project engineer to ensure monitoring and documentation; a storekeeper/picker; a designer; a calculation engineer; a research office manager; a technical and production engineering manager; two qualified welders; a workshop manager; a qualified fitter; a site manager; a machinist; and a controller

CSTI Group services:

  • Layout studies for the lines, the model and its external environment
  • Studies (plans) and calculations (flexibility calculation reports) for the construction and modification of these lines (steam circuit and water spray line)
  • Studies (plans) and calculations (mechanical resistance) for the production of the test section and the lower part of the MEDEA model
  • Calculation of pressure losses for the VG discharge line (item 4)
  • Sourcing of elements
  • Factory assembly and acceptance for stations 1, 2 and 3
